minute sessions) Eastern Time Zone(ET). The program is
available in three formats:

- Real-time Captioning via the Blackboard Collaborate webinar platform version 12
All sessions will have a
written transcript as well as a digital recording of the session
archived on this site.
Continuing Education Credits/Certificates
Education credits/certificates are available for many of the sessions.
A certificate of attendance is available upon request once actual
attendance/participation is documented.Some of the session are approved for Continuing Education Recognition. Please check the schedule to learn what CE recognitions are available per session.

Social media is a very important method of communication in the Information Age, especially for those with disabilities who may be limited in their ability to travel, use traditional telecommunication options or be restricted from attending social events in person. This session will explore several different accessible ways that users with disabilities interact with various social media services. Learn best practices for posting image and other visual content so that it doesn't unintentionally exclude users.

The Mid-Atlantic ADA Center has produced two new resources to enhance customer service and the accessibility of meetings, events and conferences. A new 20 minute film features those with disabilities discussing how they would like to be treated. This free online streamed video and two minute preview will be a helpful tool for enhancing your customer service. The Accessible Meetings, Events and Conferences Guide is an online resource providing an overview and resources for those planning meeting and events. It reviews requirements and best practices to enhance the inclusion of those with disabilities.
